Portal as the Primary Communications Hub

The CRS Customer Portal serves as the communications hub between our customer, their project team members, and the CRS staff. Documentation, data uploads/downloads, viewing analysis output and reports, and sharing files or folders via a link can all available thru this hub which is accessed from any web browser.

The portal is part of our solution delivery mechanism. Customers engaged in a data analysis, data mining, predictive modeling project, or utilizing one or more of our pre-built solutions will communicate with us and see results through this portal.

A limited access version of the portal will also be available to organizations needing more understanding of the benefits of data analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling.

The educational components of the portal available to all users include:

Knowledge Base – Wide variety of business and non-business applications for which data mining, analytics, and predictive modeling can be of benefit.

Proprietary Models – Models we have developed for other customers are standardized and described in terms of data elements, algorithms used, sample output and range of benefits realized.

Case Studies – Detailed information pertaining to the use of data mining, analytics, and predictive modeling in solving specific business and non-business issues. Each case covers results realized, background, limited data view, model description, and output.

Articles and Whitepapers – Includes published content and proprietary content only available to CRS Customers and organizations expressing an interest in our services and solutions.

Educational Courses – Full list of all our courses offered including development classes not listed on the web site. See Training section of courses offered to the general public.

Selected External Publications – Publications CRS considers to be the best on the topics about data mining, analytics, and predictive modeling.

Portal Functions and Features

The basic functions and features of the portal include:

Team Workspace

• Create a shared workspace and easily invite team members (not seen by anyone outside your organization except for CRS)
• Start team discussion within the workspace instead of through email
• Create content
• Leave comments, such as approval or feedbacks, ask questions attached to specific documents or analysis output.
• View output from analyses or models as the content is published (see previous versions).
• Keep up with all the workspace activity and publications via the Update tab.

General Features

• Access the portal on-the-go with Blackberry and iPhone apps.
• Securely download, view or edit files with any web browser.
• Permission levels we set-up for our customers include Preview Only, Upload Only, Download Only, Upload and Download, or Full Access.
• Use password and privilege techniques to validate access to all data based on a user’s privileges; unauthorized access will cause an error.
• User authentication is used for every request to the portal; action is only allowed after the system confirms that the user has the privileges to perform the action.
• CRS manages folder securities, passwords, and permissions through the Administrative Console of the Box.net application.

Data Submission (replaces FTP)

• Easily upload and share large files of data (up to 1 GB).
• Know when the data has been received and reviewed by email.
• Share project folders or send a file or folder by simply pasting a link in an email (caution advised).
• Password-protected or set-up time to auto-delete the file for sensitive data or information.

Portal Security Features

The security features of the portal include:

Secure Data Centers – Our customer’s content and data is stored on servers in geographically separated data centers (enterprise grade Level 3/Tier 1) that undergo regular audits and are monitored 24/7/365.

Redundancy – Data is backed up daily to additional facilities.

Encrypted Data Transfer – Data is encrypted with 256-bit SSL between service provider (Box.net) and our customers.

Uptime Guarantee – Box.net guarantees 99.9% network uptime.
